You have a poetic sensibility and an ability to see beyond the day to day. You often seem to be living in a higher realm, or to be not-of-this-earth. Occasionally you imagine interior lives for friends and associates that are near-complete fabrications based on your fears or hopes for the future. You are often not aware of your own feelings. About 4 things here are true, everything else is bullshit. And questions were making no sense. How a purple spot can know my secrets? XD

Quiet and very self-assured, you tend to keep your own council. Pragmatic and practical to a fault, you are not one to worry about the finer points of philosophical discourse. In fact, because you are very much an individualist, you often finds yourself at odds with the established truth or the wishes of the majority. You will often earn the wrath of an employer by taking upon yourself decisions which are rightly those of your manager. You are not one to take credit unless it is deserved. Similarly however, you will also not happily give credit where it is not due. In a romantic relationship you can be very frustrating. While you do care deeply and sincerely, and are willing to work at a relationship, your confidence in your own abilities can on occasion make it difficult to see the world from a partner’s point of view. Quiet and stoic at times, you can drive a more emotional individual completely up the wall. You can become overstressed and fatigued without knowing it. Taking time to rest between bouts of hard work can help to prevent a breakdown later on.

This was actually fairly accurate… but I’ve always been fond of the abstract and the strange. :D

Ron Paul wants to define life as starting at conception, build a fence along the US-Mexico border, prevent the Supreme Court from hearing cases on the Establishment Clause or the right to privacy, permitting the return of sodomy laws and the like (a bill which he has repeatedly re-introduced), pull out of the UN, disband NATO, end birthright citizenship, deny federal funding to any organisation which “which presents male or female homosexuality as an acceptable alternative life style or which suggest that it can be an acceptable life style” along with destroying public education and social security, and abolish the Federal Reserve in order to put America back on the gold standard. He was also the sole vote against divesting US federal government investments in corporations doing business with the genocidal government of the Sudan.

Oh, and he believes that the Left is waging a war on religion and Christmas, he’s against gay marriage, is against the popular vote, opposes the Civil Rights Act of 1964, wants the estate tax repealed, is STILL making racist remarks, believes that the Panama Canal should be the property of the United States, and believes in New World Order conspiracy theories, not to mention his belief that the International Baccalaureate program is UN mind control.

Yet another example of cops who abuse their authority to do horrible things in the name of “The Law”, who go after unarmed US citizens with full force and do serious damage for no damn good reason.

Since they don’t show it in the article, here’s another couple of shots of the incident (as well as the text, which might be written a tad more for garnering sympathy than genuinely assessing the situation, but still):

Not distinguishing between racism/sexism/homophobia/transphobia etc and its “reverse” against the majority implies that there is an equivalency between the two. There is no equivalency when you have a power structure in place that systemically oppresses some groups and privileges others. All it takes is a cursory glance at the political/legal system in this country, those who tend to comprise our representation, and the laws that exist to get the most basic idea of how that power structure operates. And that’s just scratching the surface.

For a woman to be suspicious of the men she encounters is not sexism when the law so often fails to punish rapists, or when there are legitimate threats to her bodily autonomy and abortion rights. A transwoman that avoids all possible contact with straight men is not sexist, because she acknowledges the likelihood of encountering physical danger if she is honest about her identity. A black man who assumes that white people mean trouble is not racist when you consider the astoundingly poor track record this country has with regard to civil rights.

When you ignore that there is a BIG difference between the aforementioned examples and the kind of institutionalized racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, etc that pervade daily life, you are helping perpetuate the former. You are trivializing very real suffering. I know you may not mean it, but that doesn’t excuse it. So please don’t do that.

Raphael Sbarge released this as a Thanksgiving gift to loyal Kaidan fangirls. Basically, everyone who jumped off the Kaidan train after Horizon can start crying now.
